what I'm reading

This is a series that I found on another blog quite by accident. The title, of course, intrigued me so I ordered it from half.com (which is a great site to buy and sell books). I liked it. The authors, while not pastor's wives themselves, interviewed wives of pastors to gain insight into our lives. These books follow the stories of four different women from different denominations, and with varying problems.

I found a little of myself in each of the featured women especially the one who wants to maintain her individuality through her career, and the one who longs to be everything to everyone. Two items that I seem particularly struggling with right now. (that's the next post, though about vulnerablility.)

Anyway, as summer approaches and you have more time to spend in leisurely reading, I recommend these books. They aren't only for those whose husbands choose to serve God as a vocation, but for anyone who wants to engage with characters who will make you laugh and cry!

  1. Hi, Ms. Patty. Just wanted to ask for your prayers. I have listed some things on my blog, but I really felt like God was telling me to ask you specifically for prayers. You don't have to pray according to what I posted on my blog...just pray however you feel led. Thanks!
